Be Some Buddy

Athletes for a Cure is a fundraising and awareness program of the Prostate Cancer Foundation that helps athletes as they play, run, bike, walk or race for a cure. Whether it is your first 5K or fifth triathlon, anyone can be an Athlete for a Cure. All money raised by Athletes for a Cure directly supports the Prostate Cancer Foundation by funding the world’s most promising research for discovering better treatments and a cure for prostate cancer.

  2. Contribute any dollar amount on the Charitable Donation page during registration check-out.

Within three years of his diagnosis with aggressive prostate cancer, Dick Treat lost his battle to cancer at the age of 66—leaving behind a wife, two sons, two daughters and five grandsons. Dick’s story is not uncommon. In fact, in 2012, more than 28,000 other men will lose their life to prostate cancer.
